A Little About Us..

    Our names are Zachary and Alyssa, and our farm is located in Salem Virginia. It is our pride and joy to care for the animals we raise. Zachary comes from a large Cajun family background in Louisiana, and later relocated to Virginia. He enjoys living an innovative and outdoorsy lifestyle as well as investing his time and skills in workmanship. Alyssa grew up on a small farm in Massachussets with livestock and show animals. She also later relocated to Virginia and continued her interest in exotic breeds and genetics. We eventually both went on to raising animals and building a small farm together.

    All of our animals are looked after with good morals and plenty of love. We consider what is of best interest involving the animals first and foremost, therefore we only raise them holistically, carefully, and empathetically. In caring for their everyday health we exercise natural medicinal practices, vaccinations, flea and tick preventatives, as well as dewormings. We also maintain a cleanly living environment within our farm and strive to keep our animals well kept. We tend to their grooming needs with a blower, gentle slicker brush, sanitary shave down (this is only offered for English Angora rabbits), and nail trim.

    Due to behavioral, psychological needs, and show quality evaluations, we do not allow our animals to leave their mother and siblings until 10-12 weeks of age. It is important they use this small frame of time to further build socialization skills and a sense of security. We also take this time to fully acclimate growing animals to several different social settings so that they may be more confident and familiar when faced these situations in the future. No animal goes off to their new home without proper treatment, prevention, grooming, and opportunity to thrive.
